The VCAT website is the first point of call for parties wishing to resolve disputes. It provides general information on the different types of disputes that VCAT can hear, as well as specific information on procedures and processes used to resolve particular types of dispute. The website is divided into separate sections (dispute lists), based upon the types of disputes handled by VCAT. These sections are easily accessible using the simple and clean navigation system. Alternatively, users are able to enter in words or phrases associated with their dispute and the site suggests which dispute list is the most appropriate to look in.
Content creation in each section is controlled by a workflow and publishing model which allows multiple authors to publish pages, which are reviewed by a section publisher before appearing on the public facing site. Content authors are also able to define links between pages on the site and define lists of forms and guides that may be relevant to certain sections or pages within sections.
